There’s always a most-expensive something. A car, a house, a yacht…but do you know what they are in the moment? Just a few days ago, W Motors announced their new car – Lykan HyperSport. According to them this is the most-expensive car in the world. And when you find out that there are sapphires and rubies incorporated, you might as well believe them. The company, based in Beirut (Lebanon), came forth about their luxury car brand at the end of January 2013.

But don’t worry – we haven’t forgotten that this is a naming blog. Although the brand is new on the market we managed to find suggestive information about the luxury car brand naming. The car is presented as to maintain “the perfect balance between engineering and design”. The name Lykan, on the other hand, is most probably related to the Greek mythology, where Lycans are called the humans who were able to transform into wolves. The website Topcar.co.za suggests that Lycans are considered even more advanced than the werewolves because they could control their powers. And a superfast and very powerful car that can control its power sounds like the man’s best friend…or woman’s. :)
